Cosmetic Plastic Surgery

At Multack Eye Care we offer a number of surgical and non-surgical treatments for patients who want to fight the signs of aging and achieve a more youthful, refreshed appearance. For many, when the area surrounding the eyes begins to age, it can affect a person’s ability to see. When this happens, the surgery is deemed medical and can be covered by medical insurance. Surgery can also be performed for cosmetic reasons – to specifically improve and rejuvenate the appearance of the eyes and/or improve vision. Let our expert educate and support you in the right decision for your specific needs!

Common Eyelid Surgeries

Understanding Blepharoplasty

The upper and lower lids are subject to aging and require different approaches to revive them, so that they look their best. In upper lid blepharoplasty, loose skin along the upper eyelid is removed to reduce the hooded appearance that can make even the most energetic individual seem disengaged. In lower lid blepharoplasty, excess fat is removed or relocated to fill any hollowness around the eyes and give the eyes a brighter appearance. In both cases, the eyelids will remain at the same height, but the excess fat and skin is removed to alleviate the tired, haggard appearance.

Understanding Ptosis

Unlike blepharoplasty, ptosis involves changing the height of the eyelid, so that it rests higher up on the surface of the eye. This is useful for patients whose upper eyelids may actually cover the pupil, making it difficult to see. As a result, the surgery assists with both form and function, improving the patient’s quality of life.

Which One is Right for Me?

The need for blepharoplasty, ptosis or both is one that should be made in conversation with our caring and professional surgeons. Each patient is unique and, as a result, will require a different approach to receive the desired results. As a result, we recommend scheduling a consultation to better understand the steps you can take to restore youthfulness to your face.

At Multack Eye Care, we have helped many men and women restore a younger more energized appearance with the help of eyelid surgery. There is no better time to learn more about how we can serve you. So if you have questions and are ready to take the next step, do not hesitate to contact us.

Other Cosmetic Options

Smooth away lines and wrinkles and replenish lost volume for a years-younger look without the hassle of surgery, thanks to FDA-approved Botox® and Dermal Fillers.

Botox

The world’s most popular wrinkle reducer, Botox® is FDA-approved to smooth lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes, revealing a refreshed and younger-looking you. Botox works by relaxing the muscle activity underlying your wrinkles. Once the muscle is relaxed, the surrounding skin smooths out and looks wrinkle-free for up to four months per treatment.

Botox improves:

  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Brow furrows (11’s)
  • Crow’s feet

Request a consultation with our surgeon to determine whether you are a good candidate for this procedure.

Dermal Fillers

There’s no faster, more immediate way than dermal fillers to reverse signs of aging. If you’d like to replenish lost volume, smooth away lines and wrinkles and plump your pout, then it’s time to consider tried-and-true FDA-approved dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers help:

  • Lift sagging cheeks
  • Smooth deep creases like nasolabial folds
  • Diminish lines and wrinkles
  • Restore lost volume
  • Plump lips
  • Smooth vertical lip lines (smoker’s lines)
  • Fill in acne scars
  • Restore a younger-looking, refreshed appearance

Multack Eye Care offers a complete line of dermal fillers, including:

  • Juvéderm®
  • Volbella®
  • Vollure™

Facial fillers are much less invasive and more affordable alternatives to surgical face lifts, as they can quickly be administered in a doctor’s office without the use of anesthesia. There little or no recovery associated with these fillers and most results last several months before needing to be replenished.

All of our physicians are certified by the American Aesthetic Institute for Botox and Facial Fillers.

Multack Eye Care is pleased to offer LATISSE® for our clients. LATISSE® is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment for providing fuller, darker, and longer eyelashes.

LATISSE® has been clinically proven to work and is superior to other methods because it allows you to grow your own lashes. A brief consultation can help you determine whether or not LATISSE® is a good fit for you.

How does it work?

LATISSE® contains an active ingredient that is similar to a natural chemical that is already found in your body. It is a bimatroprost ophthalmic solution that encourages eyelash growth.

How do I use LATISSE®?

LATISSE® is applied every evening. After thoroughly washing your hands and removing any contact lenses and eye makeup, you use the applicator to apply LATISSE® along the base of your upper lashes

When will I see results?

The results from LATISSE® are seen gradually. You might first notice some extra length in your eyelashes in about four weeks of regular use. Full growth is achieved in 16 weeks. There are possible side effects of using LATISSE®, including itchy eyes and dry eyes. These side effects are uncommon and will lessen over time while using the product.

Once you stop using LATISSE®, your eyelashes will gradually return to their original length and fullness. One of the top benefits of using LATISSE® is that you can achieve natural fullness and length without having to deal with fake eyelashes and harsh adhesives near your eye.

An innovative, first-of-its-kind radiofrequency skin resurfacing technology improves the skin’s tone and texture with treatments that require minimal downtime.

Opus Plasma represents the next generation of fractional skin resurfacing treatments for women and men of most skin types who want to minimize wrinkles and reverse damage caused by the sun and the natural aging process. The procedure’s versatility enables us to adjust treatment intensity from light to aggressive, depending on the patient’s skin condition and goals.

The innovative platform combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma created when the RF energy emitted from the tips of metal pins react to atmospheric pressure.

Like other laser skin resurfacing treatments, Opus Plasma removes only a fraction of the skin in the targeted area. Fractional skin resurfacing creates thousands of tiny micro-injuries to the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The body’s natural healing response repairs these controlled wounds by producing new collagen and elastin, the building blocks of smooth, youthful-looking skin.

Unlike traditional laser-based skin resurfacing technologies, however, Opus Plasma precisely controls the time that radiofrequency energy makes contact with the skin. This minimizes unwanted inflammation that typically leads to longer recovery times.

Who Can Benefit From Opus Plasma Treatments?

Because we can adjust the treatment’s intensity, virtually anyone with concerns about their skin’s appearance is a good candidate for an Opus Plasma procedure. It produces results similar to an aggressive CO2 laser or a gentle laser peel, depending on the setting used. The difference with Opus Plasma is that the treatment and recovery time is minimal compared to other laser treatments.

  • The benefits of an Opus Plasma treatment include:
  • Reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and loose and saggy skin
  • Overall skin rejuvenation
  • Minimized acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch mark
  • Reduced pore size

What Happens During an Opus Plasma Treatment?

We begin by applying a topical anesthetic to the target area to minimize discomfort during the session. The topical anesthetic stays on the skin for 30-60 minutes. Once the skin is numb, we glide the Opus Plasma handpiece across the skin to emit the radiofrequency and plasma energy. Once the procedure is finished, we apply a protective balm. Patients usually notice some slight redness and swelling after the treatment, but it resolves on its own within 24 to 48 hours in most cases. More aggressive treatment settings can extend the downtime. Even though most patients see results after a single treatment, Dr. Skim recommends 3 treatment sessions for optimal results.
