Jeffrey Nichols, MD

Dr. Nichols is a board-certified ophthalmologist and neuro-ophthalmologist. He completed his undergraduate studies with honors from Stanford University and completed medical school at the University of Illinois Chicago. His residency was completed at Cook County Hospital Chicago followed by a fellowship at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear infirmary. Dr. Nichols specializes in evaluation and treatment of ocular problems related to neurologic disease, including stroke, tumors, multiple sclerosis and other neurological pathology. He continues to head the neuro-ophthalmology clinics at the University of Chicago and Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where he also teaches residents in training. He has won numerous teaching awards over the years and he has also published several papers and book chapters , been involved in national research studies and lectured both locally and overseas.
