Richard Multack, DO
Dr. Richard Multack, has been practicing Ophthalmology for over 35 years, he currently works as Chief Medical Officer for a large health care system in Illinois. Dr. Richard Multack brings over 35 years of medical and surgical experience practicing Ophthalmology in the Olympia Fields area. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University and completed his residency at Midwestern University. He was the principal Ophthalmic Trauma Surgeon at the level one trauma center at Olympia Fields Hospital, teaching vision saving techniques to hundreds of physicians. He held the prestigious title of Chief of Ophthalmology and Department chair. He served as program director for over 25 years at Midwestern University’s Ophthalmology residency training program, where he currently holds the title Professor and Chair Emeritus of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Richard Multack has participated in several research projects at a university level and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. Currently he is the Section Editor of Cataract Surgery for a peer reviewed Ophthalmology Journal. Dr. Multack has been invited to lecture all over the country and has presented at the International Ophthalmology Trauma Symposiums in Europe on state of the art Surgical techniques.
Dr. Multack is an active member of The American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Osteopathic Association where he serves as a mentor for young physicians.
He continues to mentor the surgeons at Multack Eye Care sharing 35 years of Ophthalmic Experience.
